Third :Fieldwork:

Description:
This activity includes field workwith multiple procedures, different stages overlap tasks with coordination, field visits and technical between the administrative team and the engineering team of the project. Where, the work was in conjunction between the two teams. The beginning of the implementation was according to the agreed workplan with the suppliers (Lahej governorate – Toban and Tor Al-Baha districts). Then the field workto (Abyan governorate _ Khanfar and Lodar districts after the installation in Lahej ). Knowing that prior to field workthere was many tasks implemented in accordance with the following stages:
1.1.      Pre field work stage.
1.2.      Filed work stage.
1.3.      Installing, operating and delivery to the beneficiaries stage.

The field and engineers team comprehended all the technical stages of the project and how to handle them in the field

An introductory workshop for the engineering team held on Tuesday 11 - 01 - 2017 in Aden, aimed at defining to engineering team the nature of the mission and its goals, activities and what they needs to do from their side. A detailed explanation of different technical stages of the project was provided. Explained all the prepared forms and how to handle them in the field.

-    Permission of facilitating traveling from UNDP Aden to Adwar Organization.
-    Issuance of security permission for the engineering teams of the suppliers (Sehab Tech and Al-Wahabani) in the governorates of Lahej and Abyan.


-        Implementing the plan of field visit.
-        Defining locations of testing all equipment before installing in the field under the supervision of the administrative team.
-        Provide them all documents facilitated field visit.
-        Coordinating with local authorities, coordinators in the governorats and UNDP to issue security permissions to facilitate movement and field visit.

Coordination of field workwith local authorities and suppliers
-     Engineers field workto assess targeted sites as instructed and survey data. Where each site was assessed and documented photographically. Giving all observation and recommendation to each facility mentioned in engineers achievement reports.

The engineering team of Lahej and Abyan governorates provided with contact details of the responsible for the targeted facilities, sites of facilities in the 4 districts with the identification of the mission required to be implemented. In addition giving them form of site assessment and field survey of each facility.
1- sites reports before mounting (intranet examination - measuring loads - choose the right places for the installation of equipment and planning - the recommendations of the problems and difficulties that hinder the installation of the system and the solutions provided to them) and measure the knowledge gap with the end-user to curb the misuse and achieve sustainability in the use of the system and to produce the contents of the training course posters awareness resulting.   .
Assessment of sites before installation

Sample report for the  Assessment of Two sites in Tuban & khanfar Districts:

 (Tasks):
1.      Visit the targeted sites in the district, and in investigating the safety at the facility, and the mobilization of the evaluation form. (Annex ...).
2.      checking electrical  status of the internal network in the annex.
3.      inventory of equipment used and recording measuring load, and its codification in the form.
4.      Find a suitable place and the security for the installation of solar power system equipment and layout places the installation of equipment.
5.      measure the knowledge gap for beneficiaries to curb the misuse and prepare proposals and recommendations for the awareness materials and training and instructions for use and maintenance.
6.      . codification of the problems and what are the solutions provided.
7.      recommendations.

8.      send the report, includes (form Assessment  sites  + photo of facility from the outside + rooms + photo of the equipment).
